Le Meridien Ile Maurice is located on the
West Coast of Mauritius on the edge of 800
metres of sparkling ivory sands in the bay of
Pointe Aux Piments of the Indian Ocean. Lush
gardens create the perfect atmosphere for a
romantic idyll or a serene getaway.

Accommodation
The guest rooms and suites offer stunning views
of the ocean and mountains. The Nirvana rooms
are all perched at the edge of the tranquil
lagoon and offer a private heated infinity pool
and a personal terrace that overlooks luxuriant
tropical foliage.
The spacious Deluxe Rooms are located in the main
building of the hotel. These rooms offer views over the
hotel's tropical garden, which lead to the beach and the
Indian Ocean. All rooms feature a separate seating area, a
king-sized double bed or two queen-sized beds, tea and
coffee making facilities, a bathroom with separate bathtub
and shower, a 42-inch plasma television, a mini bar, an iron
and ironing board and an in-room safe.
Featuring exquisite views over the Indian Ocean or
alternatively over lush sugarcane fields, the Nirvana rooms
are a haven within the hotel. Located in their own
wing of the hotel with an exclusive beach and outdoor pool,
the spacious Nirvana rooms include 32-inch LCD flat screen
televisions, private balconies and a policy that prohibits
guests below the age of 12. The rooms are equipped with mini
bar, ironing facilities, and king or twin-beds.
The hotel's Deluxe Suites are located in the main
building of the hotel and are 100 square metres large with
separate lounges and bedrooms. All rooms feature a
king-sized double bed, tea and coffee facilities, bathrooms
with Jacuzzi bathtubs and showers, 42-inch plasma
televisions, mini bars, irons and ironing boards and in-room
safes. Some of the Deluxe Suites have sofa beds for those
travelling with children or as three adults.
A 150 square metre duplex suite with soaring 30-foot
ceilings and views over the Indian Ocean, the Royal Suite
includes a Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, elegant furnishings,
a 42-inch plasma flat screen television, a bar, a dining
area and lounge and a terrace.
The Nirvana Royal Suite is a 150 square metre duplex
suite with 30-foot ceilings and views over the Indian Ocean.
This suite is located in the "child-free" Nirvana wing of
the hotel and includes a Jacuzzi tub located in the bedroom,
perched on the second level of the suite. It also offers
elegant furnishings, a bar, a dining area and lounge, and a
terrace.
Standard room amenities include satellite television,
separate shower stalls and bathtubs, hairdryer, water upon
arrival, fully-stocked mini bar, tea & coffee making
facilities, 24-hour room service, terrace or balcony and
writing desk.
Dining
The hotel offers guests an array of dining options for all
palates in a variety of settings throughout the resort, from the haute cuisine
of Italy or Latin America to more leisurely tropical fare.
While named 180°, the restaurant provides visitors a 360° view
of the open kitchen. Serving à la minute cuisine, this restaurant serves
breakfast and dinner buffets that feature exotic local fare and wide-ranging
international cuisine.
Cumin is the contemporary Indian restaurant offering table
d'hôte dining for dinner.
La Croque offers casual
poolside dining from
noon until 18h00. Meals
range from pizzas to
salads and sandwiches.
La Faya is the hotel's
chic restaurant that
combines timeless
Mediterranean gastronomy
with contemporary
Mauritian cuisine, and
features the finest
wines and cocktails to
complement each meal.
Shells offers light salads, small plates or 'tapas' and grilled delicacies.
Set against sunlit and wave-battered sands, Shells serves elegant and intimate
seafood meals. Shells is open between 12h30 and 15h00 for lunch and between
19h00 and 22h00 for dinner.
Activities & Facilities
Beyond simple relaxation afforded by the sand
and sea, the hotel offers games such volleyball,
beach football, and bocce ball; activities such
as water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking,
and water polo; and excursions that range from
glass-bottom boat tours to snorkelling and scuba
diving. Some activities, such as scuba diving
and deep sea fishing, will be at an additional
charge.
For the younger guests
The Penguin Club offers a wide range of activities for children
aged 4 - 12 years, all supervised by watchful staff. Children under 4 years can
still join the club but they will have to be supervised by a parent or they can
request a babysitter at an additional cost.
Spa and Wellness
Reflecting its picturesque island setting and inspired by age-old
Asian traditions, the Taamra Wellness SPA at Le Méridien Ile Maurice
offers a range of spa treatments in a serene and elegant setting to
improve well-being. Many treatments reflect ancient Ayurvedic
practices and use the latest in spa technology.
Beyond a wide menu of services, the spa also incorporates a fully
equipped gym, hydrotherapy and relaxation areas, a beauty and hair
salon, and facilities for Reiki and yoga instruction. Rituals, some
ancient and others more recently established, form the inspiration
behind the spa’s treatments and therapies and form an integral part
of any visit to Le Meridien Ile Maurice.
All adult guests of the hotel have complimentary access to the spa
facilities, including the Fitness Centre as well as the sauna, steam
room, and Jacuzzi. The spa provides group tours of the facilities each
day in English and in French.
The Fitness Centre opens each morning at 06h00 and closes at 22h00.
Visitors are asked to wear clothing appropriate for a gym and sports
shoes. The sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi facilities open each morning
at 10h00 and close at 19h30.
