All rooms and suites have been fully renovated in an Asian-inspired
style.
Superior Rooms: The 48 Superior rooms of 50sqm are located on the ground floor
and face the ocean. These rooms can accomodate 2 adults and 1 child
under the age of 12 years sharing. Room facilities include
air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, Internet, LCD TV with satellite
channels, lounge area, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar,
dressing room, safe, spacious bathroom which opens up onto bedroom with
2 wash basins, bath and separate shower cubicle with 'rain shower',
hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers, shaver socket and separate toilet.
Luxury Rooms: The 95 Luxury rooms of 50sqm are located on the 1st and 2nd floors
with balcony and ocean views. These rooms can accomodate 2 adults and 1
child under the age of 12 years sharing. Room facilities include
air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, Internet, LCD TV with satellite
channels, lounge area, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar,
dressing room, safe, spacious bathroom which opens up onto bedroom with
2 wash basins, bath and separate shower cubicle with 'rain shower',

Family Suite: There are 42 Family Suites of 75sqm, located around
the Japanese Garden, with either a terrace or a balcony. The rooms can separated into
2 units with the main bedroom for the parents. The Family Suites have 2
bathrooms, 2 toilets, 2 plasma TV's and can easily accommodate 2 adults
and either 2 children under 12 years sharing or a 3rd adult sharing.

Prestige Suite Seaview: The 5 Prestige Suites of 110sqm are nestled
amidsts nature away from the main building, offering privacy. They can
easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. Suite facilities include a main bedroom with
spacious bathroom, separate shower and toilet, 2 wash basins, bathtub
with showerhead, hairdryer, 2 LCD TV's, sliding doors separating the
rooms, lounge area, sofa bed, shower cubicle and separate toilet, a
terrace on the same level and a balcony with a superb view of the
Japanese Imperial Garden and its waterfall, WIFI Internet access,
bathrobes and slippers, fruits and flowers in room and tea/coffee making
facilities.
The restaurants and bars at the Sofitel Imperial Resort and Spa provide
the perfect setting for relaxing and socialising.
The Ming Court - Chinese style restaurant overlooking the huge swimming
pool from the terrace, featuring Chinese specialities and unique
delights of Japanese cuisine. The Ming Court restaurant is open for
dinner between 19h00 and 22h00.
Ravinala - overlooks the swimming pool and offers different Theme
Buffets: Asian, Creole, Indian, Italian, Seafood and BBQ as well
as table d'hote menus during the evening. The restaurant is open
for breakfast and dinner daily.
Tamassa - this beach restaurant offers a menu with salads, grilled meat
and fish, local specialities and a selection of sandwiches. This
restaurant is open daily and dining is with supplement.
Teppanyaki - Japanese tables (located in the Ming Court) with demonstrative cooking and flavours
from Asia. Open every evening except for Sundays and reservation is
recommended.
Jacaranda - a la carte gastronomic restaurant on the beach with a
breathtaking view over the beach. Open every night and reservation is
recommended.
The hotel also has 3 bars: The Pink Cafe next to the swimming pool, the
Tamassa Beach Bar open from 08h30 until 23h30 daily and the Wine Bar,
where the sommelier will be pleased to introduce you to a worldwide tour
of wines by the glass.
The hotel has a natural, white sandy beach where various sporting
facilities are available for guests' enjoyment. Both beach and pool are
equipped with deck chairs, hammocks, beach umbrellas and towels. A beach
service is available throughout the day.
Activities available free of charge: windsurfing, sailing, kayaks, water
skiing, snorkeling equipment, glass bottom boat trips, beach volley, 2
floodlit tennis courts, table tennis, archery, badminton, aqua gym,
water polo, bocce ball, pilates, massage demonstration.
Activities available with supplement: Scuba diving, big game
fishing, catamaran cruises and excursions. Guests can also arrange to
play golf at the 18-hole Tamarina Course, located close to the hotel.
The Kid's club is open all year round from 09h00 until 17h00 and from
18h30 untili 21h00 for children aged between 4 and 12 years old. The
club is supervised by English and French speaking hostesses. A fun
paddling pool and various games are available as well as daily
activities programme specially for the hotels younger guests. Children
can enjoy lunch at the mini club with supplement and a baby sitting
service is available with reservation at an additional fee.
The SoSpa at the Sofitel Mauritius Imperial Resort and Spa is a real
haven of peace and tranquility. The 1000sqm, Asian-inspired sactuary
features two steam bath cabins, a musical pool and a beauty centre
offering a complete range of body care and massages. The Spa is open
from 10h00 until 20h00 daily.
