Situated on the west coast
of the island, the Sands Resort is a hideaway
for couples seeking tranquility, comfort and personalised
service. The view across the lagoon and
the bay of Tamarin with the majestic 'Le Morne' mountain in the distance offers
grandiose scenery. The over 250 m long white sandy beach is well protected and
the crystal clear lagoon is suitable for water sports. The beautifully

The hotel consists
of 91 Deluxe Rooms of 52.5 sqm including 5 sets of interconnecting rooms, all
with a balcony or a terrace with sea view. All
the rooms have either king size bed or twin beds
and are equipped with individual
air-conditioning units, IDD telephones with
voice mail system, electronic safe, minibar, TV
with local and satellites channels, wifi
facility and tea/coffee making facilities. The
very spacious bathrooms have separate shower
cabins with glass doors, bathtubs and toilets.
They are also equipped with hair dryer, sockets
for electric shaver (220 V) and a walk-in
wardrobe with full a length mirror.
The hotel has 1 Ocean
Suite of 145 sqm. The sea facing suite has
king size bed and is equipped with individual
air-conditioning units, IDD telephones with voice
mail system, electronic safe, minibar, TV with local
and satellites channels, wifi facility and
tea/coffee making facilities. The very spacious
bathroom has separate shower cabin with glass doors,
bathtub and toilet and is equipped with hair dryer,
sockets for electric shaver (220 V) and a walk-in
wardrobe.
Tamarind
Terrace Restaurant - Open everyday for
breakfast (07hrs30-10hrs00) and dinner (19hrs00-21hrs30), this restaurant
features a selection of international cuisine as well as Mauritian delicacies
with a wide choice of fine wines from different parts of the world. Dress code
- Casual Smart
Spices
is the fine dinning restaurant. It offers an
International "A la carte" menu which portrays the subtle fusion between an
international cuisine and the aromas of the Indian Ocean. Open everyday from
12hrs00 to 15h00 for lunch and 19hrs00 to 22hrs30 for dinner. Dress code -
Casual Smart
The PinkPepperCorn, the
beach restaurant, proposes a wide variety of grilled foods. Nestled
under the two "coqueluche trees" and next to a Pink Peppercorn tree,
this restaurant will delight guests in its simplicity and provide you
with the ideal backdrop to a romantic evening. This restaurant is open
everyday from 12hrs00 to 15h00 for lunch and from 19hrs00 to 22hrs30 for
dinner. Dress code - Casual Smart
The Dolphin Bar is open daily from
morning to 00hrs30, offering a wide range of flavoured rums as well as
favourite drinks or tropical Cocktails and serves snacks at lunchtime. The
idyllic setting of the bar makes it a favorite place to appreciate the live
music and shows.
The scenic lagoon in front of the
hotel is ideal for a wide range of water sports
and there is a choice of land activities too.
The following are available free
of charge: glass-bottom boat, kayaks - single
and double - paddleboats, snorkeling, water
skiing, windsurfing and sailing (laser boats).
If you would rather keep on shore, aqua gym is
catered for in the hotel's swimming pool. Also
available free of charge is tennis (2 floodlit
courts), table tennis and beach volleyball.
Deep sea fishing and PADI dives can be arranged
with supplment.

discerning golfer the opportunity to play one of
the finest Golf course in Mauritius. The
Tamarina Golf Club (18 holes) is located a few
kms away from The Sands Resort and is unmatched
by its layout, location and beauty. Special
rates are available for hotel guests who want to
play at the Tamarina Golf Course.
