This International award winning game reserve is located in
the finest territory of the world famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
The Lion Sands Game Reserve is private and
exclusive to Lion Sands guests only which ensures the safari
experience is highly personalised, allowing guests the time and
flexibility to savour the natural beauty which abounds. The two
private lodges located within the Lion Sands Private Game
Reserve, Ivory Lodge and River Lodge both offer a world class
luxury safari experience.
Lion Sands River Lodge has been built on the
banks of the Sabie River. It faces due East catching the sun as
it rises over the Kruger National Park, and is approximately 100
meters downstream of Ivory Lodge. |

About the Lodge: |
River Lodge is the Soul of Lion Sands.
Positioned on a site, which has trees dating back almost 800
years, the lodge is about spirit, warmth, nature and relaxation.
It is hosted by a family of staff that will make it feel like
home from home, relax, enjoy and get to exprience African
hospitality at its best. The lodge comprises a private
lounge and bar, an outdoor safari lounge, 2 swimming pools,
wooden viewing decks, a secluded bird hide, a river island deck,
conference room, gymnasium and health spa, curio shop and both
an indoor and open-air (Boma) dining area.

There are 12 luxurious thatched bedrooms with en-suite
bathroom, inside shower and wooden view deck.
There are 8 superior luxury thatched bedrooms with en-suite
bathroom, both inside and outdoor shower and wooden view deck.
The
bedroom area is air-conditioned with an over-head fan. All rooms
have mini-bar and telephone access. The rooms are linked to all
areas by raised wooden walkways.

| Children Policy: |
The lodge is unable to accommodate
children under the age of 10 years unless the lodge is block
booked by the same family or group. Children aged 15 and under
and sharing a room with adults pay 50% of the adult sharing
rate. Extra beds in rooms cannot be provided.

| Rate Inclusions: |
Unless otherwise specified nightly rates include luxury
accomodation, two game drives in open Landrovers, three meals
daily, game drive refreshments, teas/coffees, Skukuza airport transfers.
Optional activities also included in the rate include astronomy,
bush breakfast/dinner, bush walks, river tours, safari lunches
and wildlife lectures. |
