Tinga Private Game Lodge is situated on the banks of the
Sabie River, in the prime game-viewing area of the Kruger
National Park. Tinga has an exclusive 5000-hectare concession
within the Kruger National Park, where guests can view the
wildlife on safaris or bushwalks, while accompanied by
SANParks-accredited guides. Tinga game-viewing vehicles have
access to the entire Kruger Park road network, thus allowing
guests to view the areas of historical significance and
aesthetic beauty that the southern Kruger Park has to offer.
Legends, one of the two lodges within the Tinga concession, is
named in honour of those whose vision and foresight ensured that
one of the world's greatest natural treasures exists today.
Safaris are conducted in open vehicles, in the early morning and
late afternoon. Drives are usually 3 hours in duration depending
on game viewing and weather conditions. The Tinga
concession has 5000 hectares of exclusive traversing. This
inculdes 35km of river frontage along the Sabie and Sand rivers.

| About the Lodge: |
Legends exudes the atmosphere of a classic safari lodge. The
thatched cathedral-like entrance leads through to the colonial
comfort of the lounge, which opens onto the massive wooden deck
overlooking the Sabie River. Built around an enormous
Jackalberry tree which is believed to be over 200 years old, the
deck affords magnificent views of the Sabie River, and regular
sightings of the resident wildlife, including the members of the
Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino).
Facilities at the lodge include a library stocked with an array
of African literature, a wine cellar stocked with premier South
African and International wines, a boma, bar and wellness
treatment room. There is also a large eternity swimming pool
situated next to the deck allowing unobstructed views of the
Sabie River.
