Pestana Kruger Lodge is located less than one kilometre from
the Malelane Gate into the Kruger National Park. It is
approximately 4 hours drive from Johannesburg (402km), 56km
drive from Nelspruit and 6km from the town of Malelane. The
lodge is surrounded by 22ha of indigenous gardens and bush with
magnificent views of the Crocodile River, which forms the border
with the Kruger National Park. It's a rare pleasure to watch the
hippos so close by; and other animals as they stroll down to the
river for a drink of water or to cool down.
Pestana Kruger Lodge has a total of 74 rooms, with views over
the river or of the gardens. The comfortable rooms have an
earthy decor and all rooms have balconies. All rooms are
equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial
telephone, electronic safe, hairdryer, mini bar fridges (stocked
upon request), tea/coffee making facilities, room service menu,
laundry service and en-suite bathroom with complimentary
toiletries.
The are 38 Standard Rooms with twin beds, en-suite bathroom with
a shower only and these rooms enjoy a view of the gardens.
The 10 Deluxe Rooms have king size beds, en-suite bathroom with
separate bath and shower, and are located on the banks of the
Crocodile River. There are 30 Family Rooms with one queen bed
and sleeper couch, ideal for children sharing with parents in a
room.
The Buhlebethu Restaurant is located in the lodge and enjoys
views of the Crocodile River. It offers an a la a carte service
with contemporary South African cuisine. Breakfast packs
are available for guests setting off early in the morning.
Crocafellas Restaurant is located to the right of the lodge and
has capacity for upto 120 guests. It is open from 08h00 daily
until late and serves bistro style meals.
Eshonalanga Bar is located in the main building and is open
daily from 10h00 until midnight. Drink an exotic cocktail while
watching the sun set.
The Boma is an outdoor dining experience not to be missed! The
Boma is an African tradition that offers a typical dinner in an
outdoor setting, served around a campfire. These dinners need to
be booked in advance an a minimum of 20 guests are required for
the Boma dinner.
