Sandies Mapenzi Beach Club
Located on the East Coast
Set on the east coast of Zanzibar, Sandies Mapenzi Beach Club blends
perfectly into the natural environment of the surrounding landscape covering an
area of 4 hectares blessed with a long white sand beach and a tropical garden of
palms and colourful bouganvillea.
Sandies Mapenzi Beach Club has a total of 87 spacious and comfortable
bungalows: 30 Seafront, 39 Standard and 48 Gardenview. All rooms are charmingly
furnished in the traditional East African style and feature air-conditioning,
ceiling fan, mosquito net, telephone for internal use, hairdryer, fridge,
digital safe and a veranda.
Main restaurant: Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at buffet
with a Swahili corner offering the possibility to taste the local flavours. The
cuisine is international and evening dinners are themed. African Dinner once a
week on the beach.
Nakupenda Pizzeria: Set near the beach opens for dinner . Dining it is included
in the all-inclusive package once per stay.
Suli Suli a ‘ la carte restaurant: Set directly on the beach serves seafood
specialities under small gazebos in a very romantic environment. Dinning require
reservation and is at charge.
Pool bar: Serves snacks, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, cocktails, house wine,
tea and coffee. Spirits and long drinks are available from 6 pm till midnight.
After midnight all drinks are at charge. Premium brand liquors are available at
charge.
Beach Bar: Serves snacks, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, house wine, tea and
coffee till 6 pm.
Alif Laila: Open in the evening serves shisha, Arabic coffee and tea at charge.
The following leisure facilities are included in the
All-Inclusive package at Mapenzi Beach Club: large swimming pool, beach
towels, sun beds on the beach, sun umbrellas and deck chairs at the pool,
gymnastic activities daily (water gym, stretching), windsurf equipment
(non-professional), catamaran with instructor, canoe, beach volleyball,
football, archery, table tennis, darts, tennis (daylight) and indoor games.
There is also an evening entertainment programme.
With supplement: snorkelling equipment (deposit), windsurf
equipment (professional), laser, blokart, wakeboard, water-skiing, banana and
tube rides, bicycle hire, tennis court (floodlit), snorkelling trips and deep
sea fishing.
Additional services include Internet access, laundry, boutique,
drugstore and library

Zanzibar falls within a malaria area and your health practitioner should
be consulted prior to your visit. It is also important to note that some
source countries require that citizens are vaccinated against yellow
fever before travelling to Zanzibar, and where this is the case,
immigration authorities will require your vaccination certificate upon
