Located on the East Coast
One of the largest beach resorts in Zanzibar, Bluebay is set, along with a
number of other resorts, in the Kiwenga area on the north east coast. From here
it is easy to access some of Zanzibar’s best dive sites around the Mnemba Atoll.
This is the premier property of the Group, opened in 1999 just in time for
the millennium celebrations. The Blue Beach Resort & Spa is situated on
landscaped, palm-decked 25-acres along the famed sparkling white sandy beaches
of Kiwengwa on the East Coast of Zanzibar. The hotel offers a total of 112
rooms among them, a set of 24 latest-style private Club rooms that came on
stream in July 2007.
Accommodation
The hotel has a total of 112 rooms, made up of the following categories:
Garden Rooms: Located behind the Junior Suites in beautiful landscapped
GARDENS. They are in 03 bungalows each with 02 ensuite bedrooms. Each Room is at
least 45 Sq. metres.
Superior Rooms: Bedroom cottages located on rising ground overlooking verdant
gardens, the public areas, the pool, the sparkling white beach and the azure
seas beyond. All the rooms in this category are SEA VIEW. Each room is
approximately 50 Sq Metres.
Club24 Rooms:
A beautiful and intimate development of 24 Club rooms. These superb rooms are in
a very private section of the 30-acre plot of the Resort
Junior Suites:
Made up of 3 bungalows each with 02 interconnected Suites, in a private area,
closer to the Ocean (hardly 30metres from the beach). All sea view, Larger rooms
(at least 90 Sq Metres)
Sultan Suites:
The ultimate beach front accommodation! Each Suite is approximately 100 sq.
metres and positioned right on the beach in a private compound, private beach
and comes with Butler service
Dining
Makuti Restaurant :Makuti Restaurant enjoys magnificent
views over the modern deck-level swimming pool to the ocean beyond. It offers
breakfast and dinner within our Guests Meal Plan arrangements.
The Pool Bar The Pool Bar is located by the swimming
pool and serves a full range of wines, spirits, minerals and fresh juices as
well as specialized coffees.
The Beach Bar and Restaurant: The Beach Bar and Restaurant
is a fabulous place for guests to sip cold drinks or have a meal of seafood
specialties, pizza as well as other light fare - all served in an informal
toes-in-the-sand setting with the ocean right in front!
The Bahari Grill :The Bahari Grill is the best
Sea-food and Steaks on the Island. It is a specialist diner restaurant and
offers an exclusive dining experience. It is open in the evenings only and
bookings are necessary!
The Club24 Restaurant :Club24 Restaurant is an exclusive
dining establishment for residents of Club24 and guests of the 8 Suites at the
Resort. The restaurant overlooks the private swimming pool and Lounge.

Zanzibar falls within a malaria area and your health practitioner should
be consulted prior to your visit. It is also important to note that some
source countries require that citizens are vaccinated against yellow
fever before travelling to Zanzibar, and where this is the case,
immigration authorities will require your vaccination certificate upon
